Not far from Paris is Giverny, famous for Claude Monet. Here is the home of a famous impressionist artist, as well as a garden with a pond where he wrote his “Pitchers.” Monet lived here for forty-three years, until his death in 1926. After settling in Ghiverni, Claude Monet acquires a plot of land there, and, having taken the waters of the Epta River there, organizes a garden with ponds. The second garden is broken in front of the house, and the strict straight lines of alleys are in relief contrast to the pesky carpet of smelling all year beds, which change several times a year. The garden became Monet ‘s favorite child, and it is no surprise that his motives occupy a large place in the artist ‘s work.

One of the most beautiful excursions. Flowering garden, pink lilies on the water, cozy artist ‘s home…

And the village of Ghiverni itself is turned by its residents into the most picturesque place. You can have lunch in the restaurant where Monet once spent time with his friends, next to a beautiful garden with gazebo.
